Get Started

Ensure the box containing the device has the following items:
  • Privacy Hub
  • Charging Cable
  • Reset Pin
  1. Remove Privacy Hub from packaging and plug it in
  2. Turn the device on by pressing the button next to the display screen
  3. KLOK logo will appear as device is booting up
  4. The home screen will appear after a few moments
  5. A few seconds from power up, the cloud in the top right of the display will blink. This is the device searching for the cloud

Note: IMPORTANT New devices powering up for the first time can take considerably longer to feedback a cloud connection

Successful Connection:

  • cloud bubble fills in white with a checkmark in the center
  • cloud stops blinking and has a slash through it
If your screen states “Internet Service Unavailable” then contact Customer Support

Unsuccessful Connection:

  • cloud stops blinking and remains blank:
  • See the Reboot Instructions at the end of this document
  • If still not connecting after reboot, perform Hard Reset by depressing button for 20 seconds.
If your screen states “Internet Service Unavailable” then contact Customer Support
Upon seeing the white cloud with the checkmark, there will be a link icon blinking next to the cloud.
  • Successful Connection – Device gains service, the link icon is replaced by “4G”
  • Unsuccessful Connection –link continuously blinks for more than 9 minutes
    1. In this event perform a Reboot of the device
    2. Repeat above steps
Finally Connect to the device using the QR Code (click the button once to move to the QR display)
  • Reboot – Hold down the display button while the device is turned on until the start-up screen turns back on.
  • Hard Reboot – Hold down the home button for approx. 20 seconds. During this time the device will turn off and on and boot up until the start-up screen. When it flashes white. Release the home button. All caches and configurations are restored to default. The device will continue to boot to the home screen.
  • Factory Reset – Use a pin to softly press the small hole next to the sim tray, and at the same time press the home button for ~30 seconds. The screen will flash and the device will boot up 2x.
