Get Started

Ensure the box containing the device has the following items:

  • Privacy Hub
  • Charging Cable
  • Reset Pin

Booting Up

  1. Remove Privacy Hub from packaging and plug it in
  2. Turn the device on by double pressing the home button next to the display screen
  3. If connected to the charger, single click (3 seconds) KLOK logo will appear as device is booting up
  4. The home screen will appear after a few moments
  5. A few seconds from power up, the cloud in the top right of the display will blink. This is the device searching for the cloud.
  6. When all icons appear and are not blinking the Privacy Hub is ready to connect to your personal devices.

Note: IMPORTANT New devices powering up for the first time can take considerably longer to feedback a cloud connection

Successful Connection:

  • Cloud bubble fills in white with a checkmark in the center
  • Cloud stops blinking and has a slash through it

If your screen states “Internet Service Unavailable” then contact Customer Support

Connecting WiFi enabled devices to Klok Privacy Hub

  1. Search for SSID matching KLOK… in WiFi setting on your personal device.
  2. Enter the Password as it appears on the QR Screen at the bottom of the QR Code.

OR

  1. Scroll to the WiFi credential QR screen by pressing the Home Button once.
  2. Using the camera on your personal device (or by launching your QR reading app), scan the QR code.
  3. Your device will connect to WiFi

Up to 5 devices can be connected to KLOK Privacy Hub. The bandwidth will be evenly divided between the connected devices simultaneously drawing data.

 

Troubleshooting

After about 5 minutes, if the device is struggling to connect to service,

  1. Try powering the device off
  2. Wait a few minutes
  3. Turn the device back on

 

Factory Reset
(Performed at support team’s direction)

  1. Press pinhole button and home button for approximately 7 seconds.
  2. When the logo flashes, first release the home button, then release the pinhole button.
  3. Leave the device to reboot for a few minutes.
  4. Once device returns to the home screen, the device is now ready to use.
